High-End Fashion Houses

It’s finding and pursuing the visual depth, laborious details, and layers of glamour that then leave one breathless, intrigued, emotionally stirred, and inspired.

I am most inspired by the fast paced and glamorous world of high-end fashion houses. Something has always intrigued me about the world of haute couture…. fantasy-like and unobtainable. I love to study the beautiful photographs and how the photographer captures the light and movement thus creating a story line for the character/model and the couture fashion being worn. I am always drawn into the scene and my mind lingers as I visualize and embrace what exactly is it that is moving me emotionally. Is it the color, the layers, the simplicity, the intensity, the sculpture of the body, the beauty of the surrounding scene etc.? What am I feeling from what I see and how do I bring that into my own designs and interior spaces?

Lessons learned from haute couture: It is about making something so exceptional and perhaps unexpected that the visual depth, laborious details, and the layers of beauty leave one breathless, intrigued, emotionally stirred, and inspired! From that point of intense inspiration, one must then allow that emotion to take over and solidify in the heart and mind causing an overflow and outflow of creative beauty producing something stunningly unique! Beautiful!
