Wild Patterns
Especially in serene, traditional surroundings that need a little “walk on the wild side” to shake them up a bit.
An exotic call to the wild side ….. wild patterns! I love adding exotic hides in my interior spaces….. especially in serene traditional surroundings that need a little “walk on the wild side” to shake them up a bit. The uniqueness of the pattern and the texture of each hide creates a depth all its own and jumps out at you in an unexpected fashion forward “statement-maker” kind of way. The trick with using animal skins is too use them in small doses so as not to suggest a safari theme or over working too much of a good thing. This pair of chairs was a vintage find from a decorator’s estate out of NY and exceptional in purchase to have the mane included. To set the stage for these collector’s chairs, I added a large scale wild patterned piece of art to set the stage as a backdrop/landscape to showcase these trophy finds.
